The company's history dates back to 1849. The brand was founded by Josef Wiesner - initially as a carpentry workshop. In 1921, Rudolf Wiesner and Sebastian Hager took over their father's business, which was then a construction and carpentry company. Furniture production only began later and it was initially focused on simple armchairs and foldable garden furniture. Today the company produces mainly office furniture. Wiesner-Hager has been a leading player on the Austrian office furniture market for a long time. With exports of around 50%, Wiesner-Hager is also one of the most reputable companies in the European furniture sector.
